The economic reports are prepared for the countries Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Romania, Russia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.
The Russia Newsletter for members of VDMA Metallurgy covers industry-sector-specific developments.
The VDMA Shanghai Representative Office conducts the VDMA Business Climate Survey China twice per year in cooperation with the Economics and Statistics Department.

The recommendations in this VDMA Specification define the interface between the high pressure metal diecasting machines and extracting devices. die spraying devices as well as metal feeding devices. This is intended to provide interchangeability. A further specification deals with the determination of the machine-specific power consumption of metal diecasting machines.
VDMA’s standard specifications 24202, 24206 and 24217 for thermo processing plants provide users, especially machinery producers and operators, with technical recommendations and practical suggestions that make design, planning and tendering easier.

In the first edition of the brochure "Environmental and Sustainability Technologies in Metallurgical Engineering" under the motto "The future has begun", member companies of the Metallurgy Association present their offers and contributions on current environmental and sustainability technologies. The brochure, which was presented for the first time at GIFA/METEC/THERMPROCESS, presents on more than 20 flyers plant and component manufacturers for the energy-intensive "metallurgy" industry as so-called "enablers" with regard to resource and environmental protection as well as energy consumption. The plant and component manufacturers represented in the flyers are united in the Metallurgy trade association within the VDMA.
Already in its second edition, the Metallurgy member companies Metallurgy present their latest innovations for digital transformation in the VDMA brochure "Industry 4.0 in metallurgical engineering - The future has begun". The brochure with more than 20 application examples was published on the occasion of this year's GIFA/METEC/Thermprocess and shows in a compact way how metallurgical machine and plant construction uses its process knowledge to make the transition from extended automation services to flexibly scalable digital production as smooth as possible - from development to remote maintenance, from the visualization of individual components to analytics offerings, which in addition to preconfigured solutions provide the operator with a large selection of intelligent tools for his own agile quality control.
Based on our core values, VDMA Metallurgy pools relevant know-how for metallurgical machinery and plant construction in the foundry machinery, metallurgical plants and rolling mills, as well as thermo process technology sectors.
